YouTubers Freak Out Over New Comment System

YouTube recently upgraded its comment system with a slew of handy new features, chief among them threaded replies (hallelujah), improved sorting and more robust moderation.


Cool, right? Wrong, according to many YouTubers. The new system firmly bakes Google+ into the YouTube ecosystem, meaning you must connect your Google+ and YouTube accounts to have conversations on YouTube. This also means public Google+ video shares show up in YouTube comments, often devoid of context
