I'm going to give you the traditional English teacher response here. Your blog posts should be long enough to be good. On average we recommend anywhere from 400-600 words. Of course, if you can write more on a specific topic then by all means go for it. However, if you are struggling to make your post long just for the sake of making it long, you should cut it off.
