Thousands upon thousands of gallons of ice cold water have rained down on charitable heads, and according to the ALS Association (ALSA), people have donated an unprecedented amount of money to the organization.
Facebook says its users have collectively uploaded 2.4 million ice bucket challenge videos. If you haven't been on the Internet in the past few weeks: Those who receive the Ice Bucket Challenge can either choose to donate money to help fight ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis, also known as Lou Gehrig’s Disease) or pour a bucket of ice water on their heads and post the video to social media.
