An Electronic Arts executive spent Tuesday night blasting Twitter and its policies for handling abusive users after he said particularly threatening tweets resulted in no action from the social network.
EA Chief Operating Officer Peter Moore said he receives "lots" of nasty tweets, but "the threats to my wife and family spurred me to report this to Twitter."
The messages, from one user operating on multiple accounts, said they hoped his wife and family were raped and killed. Moore said he reported the tweets, but Twitter sent him an automated email reply saying the accounts "were not violating Twitter rules." Read more...
