Young Democrats More Active Than Republicans on Social Media, Study Says

Young Democrats are more active than Republicans on almost every major social-media platform, according to a new study published Tuesday by Harvard's Institute of Politics.


Google+ presented the largest split — 52% of Democrats polled have an account on the platform, while Republicans only clocked in at 36%Twitter and Pinterest both showed an 8% difference between the political parties, but the latter is the only network on which Republicans have the edge over DemocratsFacebook was most popular among both parties, with 87% of Democrats and Republicans using the social-media giant.
